Barcelona, October 20, 2023– Eco Intelligent Growth (EIG), Grupo Construcía’s consultancy specialized in circular economy and innovation, announces the incorporation of Ana Palencia Novás as its new CEO. This designation marks a milestone in the evolution of EIG and reinforces the company’s commitment to activate a new model based on the circular economy, to transform industry and built spaces into partners in the protection of the climate and nature. 

Palencia will give continuity to the work carried out by Marc Basany, who until now had assumed the role of CEO of EIG, and who will now continue to contribute his knowledge and experience to the entire Group, holding the position of Product Manager.  

With this transition, she will continue to reinforce the national and international expansion strategy of the consulting firm, which also has the structure of the Group, led by the Co-CEOS and founders, Pablo Sainz de Baranda and Arturo Fernández, and with the support of the co-founder of EIG, member of the Board and general director of Strategy and Sustainability of Grupo Construcía, Ignasi Cubiñá. 

With 20 years of cross-sector experience in project management, sustainability management, innovation and general management, she has led international teams in the construction and real estate sector, healthcare and biotechnology, both in publicly traded companies, start-ups and non-profit organizations. She has expertise in projects with business impact at a transversal level, putting ESG strategy at the core of the organization. 

Currently, she is vice-president of the Sustainable Cantabria Association and co-director of the Sustainability Leadership HUB at IE, as well as senior advisor in strategy and sustainability in several companies related to real estate, mobility and leadership and member of the Advisory Board of the Woman Forward Foundation. She is co-director of the ESG and Corporate Governance working group of the Healthy Architecture Observatory, member of the Green Building Council Spain and mentor in entrepreneurship and innovation.
