Industry
We help companies to adapt to the circular economy, from the product all the way to the business model.
The world is evolving at a rapid pace. How can we prepare for this evolution?
Businesses are facing a rapid evolution of regulations towards a different economy. The European Green Deal and its Action Plan are in full implementation and evolving regulations can become a major market barrier for companies that do not play their part.
The manufacturing industry is in the spotlight:
- How can products be adapted/redesigned so that they never become waste?
- How can profits be maintained if there is a shift from consumption to service models?
- How can industry stay aligned with existing regulations (European Green Deal, US Green Deal, and local versions of transformation towards a circular and fair economy) as well as those to come?
- How can industry respond to the demands of the market and society, which are increasingly committed to the Sustainable Development Goals?
Thanks to our over 15-year experience working with industry, we have developed methodologies that allow us to respond to these and many other needs in a tangible way.
We work from the bottom up to build a strategy for change adapted to the reality of the company and its specific context:
How? Our solutions entail a range of approaches, from optimizing chemistry and product design, to innovation in supply chain management and the production system:
- Circular Transformation: This is a program structured into three phases (Diagnosis – Plan – Action), which can be applied at different levels. Some of its characteristics are:
- Circular product diagnosis: Assessment to understand the current product design using tools such as the Cradle to Cradle framework, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), and hotspot mapping to assess the product’s design for disassembly.
- Circular supply chain diagnosis: Understanding where the issues related to transparency, and poor environmental and/or social practices, lie. Identification of ideal partners.
- Circular optimization roadmap: Using the results of the assessment to define strategies to plan the optimization of the circular product.
- Development of pilot projects to test innovations.
- LCA scope 3, C2C Certified check.
- Implementation of Circular Making, to also integrate innovations into marketing and branding.
