In the last few weeks, both the transition to the new version 4.0 and the summer recess, frequent in many manufacturers, have speeded up the last steps of the assessment process. There are new C2C Certified^® products from different sectors. Let’s have a quick look to some of them:

New C2C Certified^® products. Fashion & Textiles.

Our Fashion & Textiles team is working hard. Besides the certifications of several C&A products as well as Lee’s, at EIG we work with many manufacturers that intend to offer better products around the globe.

Most of them are suppliers of big brands, which is why their own efforts sometimes remain in the shadows.

Here is a little more about some of those who have finished the certification process:

American & Efird LLC – A&E Cotton Threads

A&E’s Chroma™ SPC and Anecot Plus® SPC are 100% long staple spun cotton sewing threads. They are designed to be ideal for garment overdyeing and for applications in which a high strength, natural fiber is required. Both products are available in multiple sizes and colors.

LeeWrangler Belgium Services BV – Aureola Denim Garments

Jeans made from 100% organic cotton and crystal clear 3.0 dyeing technology. This technology was developed by the Pakistan based company Artistic Milliners, a manufacturer that has been collaborating with Eco Intelligent Growth since 2017.

These jeans are on the list of new C2C Certified^® products, but Artistic Milliners has already other certified items in its catalogue.

Lienesch b.v. – True Clear Alu OF2

True Clear Alu OF2 is a semi-transparent fabric that has a woven screen-like pattern, but is PVC-free and offers a clear textile look and feel. Ideal to combine performance and aesthetics when used in windows screen, helps also to prevent extreme indoor heat preserving a clear view-through.

Soorty Enterprises Pvt. Ltd – Smart E Denim Garments

The SMART E line represents a range of denim styles and includes a selection of fabrics ranging from light to heavyweight in both stretch and non-stretch constructions.

Rajby Textiles Pvt. Ltd – Green Mystery

The Pakistani manufacturer that also developed the only C2C Certified Platinum fabric in v3.1 ever has recently renewed the certificate for their Green Mystery collection. Afroze Textile Industries (Pvt) Ltd.– Responsible Bath Linen

The Pakistan manufacturer recently renewed the Gold Certificate for their Responsible Bath Linen collection, made out entirely by organic cotton and C2C Certified Material Health Gold dyes.

Bonprix Handelsgesellschaft GmbH – Positive Denim #1

Bonprix, the German fashion Company specialized in catalog sale, has just achieved the Gold level for its fabric Positive Denim. This certificate is part of a wider effort in which other garments are being assessed.

The Flax Company – MARMARA® Hemp

MARMARA Original® is produced from a strict selection of the finest French hemp fibers, grown without irrigation, pesticides or herbicides. It has been mechanically processed to match the specs of cotton fiber in order to be spun on cotton spinning system (Ring & Open End) in blends with Cotton, Polyester, and Viscose. This hemp fiber is anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, biodegradable and sustainable, specially developed for denim blends.

These days there has also been intense activity in the Built Environment team.

From office furniture to structural elements, several products aim to improve the safety and quality of the spaces we live in. The C2C Certified framework helps to create spaces that work as materials banks. Together with the previous ones, the new C2C Certified^® products for the built environment are key to make circular economy possible.

Dynamobel, S.A. – Silla SLAT

This desk chair is designed to be maintained, updated and recovered. The backrest is designed to be a quick-to-assemble, single component structure. This is designed to make recycling and on-site reupholstering easier, both environmentally friendly factors given that they help cut down on production and transportation times. We have it in our own office and can say they have a great ergonomic design as well.

Perlita y Vermiculita SLU (Grupo PV) – Perlifoc HP Eco+

Perlifoc HP Eco+ is a gypsum-based fire resistant and ecologic mortar with thermal insulation properties for passive fire protection in structural elements.
