Walk the Talk: explaining in first-person the endless possibilities of Circular Economy

How is the Cradle to Cradle certification process? What solutions does the Circular Economy bring to current economic and industrial challenges? How can we apply Circular Economy?

Welcome to Walk the Talk, a series that explains the endless possibilities of circular transformation in first-person. This series of videos is created with the aim of making visible how the Circular Economy is transforming companies and products. The best way to portray these realities is by giving voice to the actors of the Circular Economy who will explain, based on their own experience, what solutions the Circular Economy brings to current challenges, how and where is it being applied in practice, and what barriers need to be overcome.

We started the series with product innovation. The first stakeholders we gave voice to are manufacturers of Cradle to Cradle certified products such as Pol Merino from Honext, a company that develops sustainable materials for construction, such as fully recyclable and non-toxic panels based on waste fibers. Honext has optimized and certified their product with C2C Certified®️ Silver level from the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute with the assessment of EIG. Find out how C2C Certified®️ has helped this disruptive company, which innovates from product design to go-to-market strategy. Of course, in his own words.

In the second installment, Nacho Lafuente, IT adviser and founder of Datumize, a deep tech company specializing in data collection, delves into the key role of data management in contributing to a better economy for all. Among other topics, Lafuente reflects on how data transparency and confidentiality are not antonyms and their coexistence can be achieved. We invite you to watch the video interview.

In the third chapter, we interview Salvi Plaja, Design Director of SIMON, leaders in electrical material, a benchmark in design, and a company that we have accompanied in its Cradle to Cradle Certified®️ certification process.

Among other issues, Plaja explores how SIMON has redirected his future goals, placing sustainability as one of the main axes of change. Certifying the S270 switch and socket series at the Silver level was an experience that he describes as “demanding”, since, despite working with eco-design criteria that do not generate environmental damage, the Cradle to Cradle Certified®️ certification goes beyond what we are used to taking into account.

We will keep updating this page with the new releases of the series!
